Cyberpunk 2077 Quest Director Praises Upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Port

They apparently had to work REALLY hard to make it work.

While we may not know too many third-party exclusives that are coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 just yet, we do know of plenty of ports that’ll grace the console both on launch day and in the months to follow. One of the surprises on that front was Cyberpunk 2077 by CD Projekt Red. While the game may have had one of the most troubled launches in gaming history, the team brought the game back from the brink, and now it’s what it was “always meant to be.” That being said, taking this graphically high-end game and porting it to the Switch 2 was a huge challenge.

Don’t take our word for it, though! Take it instead from quest director Pawel Sasko, who made this very clear post about the struggles the team went through:

This version of the game took a fucktone of effort, our best crew have been hammering it, and I’m so proud of the outcome 🔥

If you want to experience what NintendoSwitch2 can do, #Cyberpunk2077 is a hell of a benchmark 😤 https://t.co/yXmWoVFVGC

That’s quite an endorsement! He said in another post:

“Really hyped about it [the Switch 2 launch], we have been cranking this in secret for quite long, and I’m replaying the whole game as soon [as] it’s out.”

On the OG Switch, there were only a handful of developers who really brought out the “full potential” of the system graphically. Here, we’re possibly getting an early look at what the Nintendo Switch 2 could do visually if developers truly push themselves.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be a launch day title for the system when it arrives on June 5th!
