Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Drops Day 1 for Xbox Game Pass in the Second Half of April 2025

By Sean GarmerApril 15, 2025
Clair Obscur Expedition 33

The first part of April already featured one major game release with Compulsion Games South of Midnight for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. The hits keep coming as we approach the second half of the month with Clair Obscur Expedition 33 and Tempopo as Day 1 drops on the service. Along with Towerborne debuting on cloud and console, and Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II debuting as well.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Has GOTY Potential

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 perhaps no indie game release this year has more hype around it than Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 developed by Sandfall Interactive who have noted that the influences for this game range are very JRPG heavy with the noted ones being Final Fantasy and Persona. Featuring a narrative with a heavy setup and a battle system termed as Reactive turn-based where the party is in a turn-based system but also has to time button presses to dodge, block or parry. Combine that with the world design it does have and the gameplay customization it feels like Clair Obscur Expedition 33 could be one of the early Game of the Year candidates.

Here is the full list of what’s coming to Xbox Game Pass for the second half of April and first part of May 2025
