Avatar The Last airbender is getting a “Multiplayer Fighting Game”

By Kevin KellyFebruary 17, 2024

Looks like Aang and his friends and foes will be getting a fighting game soon. The resurging popularity of the Avatar: The Last Air Bender has brought about even a live-action show coming this month, but it seems that Maximum Games and Paramount will be creating this competitive fighting game for next year. It will be early access to start. Maximum CEO Christina Seelye said in a Roadmap speech, according to Gematsu. The fact that it has been said to be a competitive fighting game might lead to some speculation as to what this might be. Avatar: The Last Air Bender is a franchise about a society of elements-based users called “Benders.” Aang and Korra are members of the Avatars: a group of people within the show that can control almost every element. Who will be making this game or the platforms it will be on has not yet been announced.

This is not the first time that the Avatar characters have been featured in fighting games. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and its’ sequel, the Smash Bros-like fighter, included 3 of the characters, including Avatars Aang, Korra from the spin-off show, and Earthbender Toph, yet the games were not as popular as their rivals due to several missing items. All-Star Brawl 2 was better received on its’ run.
