For many years, there have been rumors of an Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake. It has arguably been the most anticipated game remake for years. Then, last year, the existence of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced was confirmed, with the game originally speculated to release in March 2026. That was until an earnings call where Ubisoft cancelled several titles and delayed the release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.
Since then, there has been cautious optimism for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and now we are about to see the game’s full reveal. In just a few days, on April 23rd, 2026, at 9 am PDT/12 am ET, Ubisoft will show off Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced for the first time.
Like many others, I regard the 2013 original as one of the best in the franchise, a game that laid the foundations for so much of what came after. I can’t wait to see how the developers are trying to breathe new life into this beloved game.
Will it be true to its roots and maintain the more classic feel of Assassin’s Creed, or will it switch things up and become more of an RPG like recent series entries? Only time will tell, but at least we don’t have to wait long. I’m personally hoping we get a release date, because I’ve had my eye on this game since the rumors of its existence first came around.
Stay tuned to The Outerhaven for all you need to know about Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and much more.
