Today, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has released a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. In case you already own the game on Nintendo Switch, you can also purchase an upgrade pack for $4.99, which gives you access to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition without needing to buy the game a second time.
Not only has a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition been launched, but a free update has been released. This free update adds Resetti’s Reset service. It allows you to tidy up your island. Explore the new resort hotel run by Kapp’n’s family, where you can design themed hotel rooms, craft items to be delivered, and earn tickets redeemable for exclusive collectibles at the resort gift shop. Plus, players with a Nintendo Switch Online membership can invite friends to join them on Slumber Island, where they can transform a shared dreamscape.
New collaborations are also available! You can collect in-game Nintendo systems to give your island home some retro flair, and Nintendo Switch Online members can also play select classic Nintendo titles in-game when interacting with specific Nintendo console items! LEGO® items will also make their debut with this update, and you can even scan select amiibo3 from The Legend of Zelda and Splatoon series to invite certain characters to visit your island and unlock various items inspired by those series.
