Recently, The Outerhaven had the chance to sit down with Max Kim of COVER USA to discuss Hololive’s growth and exciting plans on the horizon. Now, we’re thrilled to follow up with an exclusive Q&A with Motoaki Tanigo, CEO of COVER Corp, the visionary behind Hololive’s global success. In this interview, Tanigo shares insights on the future of VTubing, upcoming events, and what’s next for Hololive as it continues to redefine the virtual entertainment landscape on a global scale.

Theouterhaven: Do you have any plans to expand further following the success of the LA Dodgers event and the Breaking Dimension concert?

Motoaki Tanigo: We’re very focused on continuing to boost fan engagement in the U.S., and we’re exploring ideas for more collaborations that American fans can enjoy, such as themed cafés and other unique experiences.

Theouterhaven: With the success of 3D concerts in the U.S. and the opening of Cover USA, do you plan on making events more frequent, or is it too soon for that?

Motoaki Tanigo: The success of the 3D concerts has made it easier to book venues than before. There are still some challenges in production, but we definitely hope to host more solo concerts and similar events.

Theouterhaven: Since concert streaming tickets are available, are you considering any additional streaming platforms outside of e+?

Motoaki Tanigo: We’re definitely planning to expand to other streaming platforms depending on user needs and demand.

Theouterhaven: Is there any interest in doing exclusive live 3D debuts at specific venues?

Motoaki Tanigo: Not at this time.

Theouterhaven: Will 3D debuts eventually require some form of paid access, like a membership fee, or will they remain freely accessible?

Motoaki Tanigo: For now, we plan to keep 3D debuts as free streaming content.

Theouterhaven: Hololive talents have brought joy to fans worldwide, past and present. How do you manage expanding the VTuber roster while also growing the market?

Motoaki Tanigo: We’re expanding gradually and aim to support a number of talents that we can properly manage and nurture.

Theouterhaven: Since you have fans globally, are there any plans to bring Holofes to the U.S. or other international locations?

Motoaki Tanigo: If we reach a point where we have a large enough audience and can secure major venues, we’d love to make overseas Holofes and Expo events a reality.

Theouterhaven: The future looks bright for Hololive. So, what’s next?

Motoaki Tanigo: We’re committed to providing more opportunities for our talents to shine, whether it’s through music, voice acting, or gaming. Fans can expect to see a variety of exciting projects in the future.

Theouterhaven: What message do you have for Western audiences about Hololive?

Motoaki Tanigo: We’re excited to keep bringing you projects that you can enjoy, and we hope you’ll continue to support us along the way!

Thank you, Motaki Tanigo taking time out of your schedule to speak with us. As for the future of Hololive, we’re excited to see what happens next as COVER Corp continues to innovate the virtual entertainment landscape
