Path of Exile 2 Guide: Asina, The Praetor’s Consort Boss Fight Boss Fight Strategy

When you finally make your way up to Asina The Praetor’s Consort, yet another boss fight in Path of Exile 2, things are going to start getting more complex. Especially with this boss as a lot is going on at once. But not to worry, as we’ll break down the fight, making it easier to handle and you’ll be able to take down this baddie so you can get on with progression.

Putting Asina, The Praetor’s Consort In Her Place

When you first engage Asina The Praetor’s Consort, she’ll start threatening you and will open up the fight by tossing four circles of spirit energy beneath you, with each circle getting larger each time. These are easy enough to move out of or dodge out of.

If you get too close to her, she’ll attempt to melee you, but these are also easy to dodge away from or if you’re a warrior with a shield, you can block those.

She’ll also teleport around the room, to confuse you. Nothing too important here as long as you pay attention to what she’s doing.

At times during the fight, she’ll summon another boss that you’ll have to fight or maybe have already done so, Draven The Eternal Praetor, albeit in a much weaker form. He’ll dish out an AOE blast attack that spreads off in each direction. This can be avoided by walking between the blasts or dodging under them. Don’t worry about fighting Draven, as soon as he does his attack, he leaves the fight.

Once you get her down to about half-life, she’ll start using another attack called Prison of Bone. This attack will encircle you in a cage of bone and you’ll know when it’s coming as she’ll call out the name of the attack. A few hits against any part of the Prison of Bone will open up a hole you can escape from instead of eating a lot of incoming damage.

Once you do that, you can get in a few easy hits on the boss as she’ll be stuck channeling the attack that would have connected if you were in the cage.

She may also summon 1 or 2 knights to attack you, but I’ve only noticed that the longer the fight carries on. So if you DPS her down quickly, you can avoid them.

This is pretty much the encounter and she’ll repeat any or all of these attacks the closer she is to death. As long as you avoid the Prison of Bone and the AOE energy blasts that spawn under you, this fight is a quick kill.

Here’s the entire fight in action below:
