Cobra Kai Season 6 Will Be Split Into Three Parts, Gets First Teaser

By Todd BlackMay 2, 2024
Cobra Kai, Cobra Kai Season 3, Cobra Kai Season 4, Cobra Kai Season 5, Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2

We knew going into it that Cobra Kai Season 6 was going to be the end of the streaming phenomenon. What started on YouTube Red (which is now gone) was taken over by Netflix and became even larger than anyone could’ve imagined. The true follow-up to the Karate Kid trilogy has been everything fans have wanted and more. But all good things must come to an end. However, as Netflix revealed today, that “end” isn’t going to come in the way we expected. First off, the final season will be 15 episodes long, which is five more than every other season.

The second reason is that, for the first time, they’re going to stagger the releases into five-episode chunks. The first part will arrive on July 18th. Then, Part 2 will arrive on November 28th. Finally, the “ending event” will happen in 2025. No definitive date has been given for that last part yet.

While this may seem odd or even frustrating, it should be noted that the two strikes from last year definitely affected the filming schedule, so Netflix likely broke things up to give fans “what they want” now while also giving them room to finish and edit the rest of the episodes.

If the Cobra Kai Season 6 teaser is any indication, we’re in for some big reunions, redemption moments, and, yes, karate action.
