TMS Entertainment’s BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai Part 2 premiered today on Netflix! To celebrate the continuation of one of the most popular anime releases of the year, TMS Entertainment has released a creditless version of the opening animation, set to “MUSASHI” by Chevon.
The video opens on Musashi Miyamoto, gazing down sharply at the world below with a radiant full moon at his back. The body of Baki Hanma is etched with the scars of countless past battles, radiating the overwhelming presence of a fighter honed to his absolute limit. The foe Baki faces is the legendary swordsman Musashi Miyamoto, resurrected into the present world through a forbidden experiment, deep in an underground laboratory, that created a clone from his remains.
Before the mighty warriors who bear the weight of the present age — Doppo Orochi, Goki Shibukawa, Yujiro Hanma, and Izo Motobe — Musashi swings his blade at terrifying speed with an overwhelming air of menace, showcasing why he is a generations-spanning symbol of strength. The video races forward at a dizzying pace, Baki’s resolute expression as he challenges Musashi in the underground arena, Pickle brimming with savage ferocity, Kaoru Hanayama throwing punches with bold abandon, and many more familiar rivals. The clash between Baki and Musashi is depicted as a ferocious bout in which the two hurl everything they have at each other, further heightening the intensity of this highly anticipated season.
With the excitement around BAKI-DOU at an all-time high, fans are invited to celebrate the inspiring franchise at Anime Expo via the “Bring It On BAKI-DOU!
