Did Palworld Just Get Teased For Nintendo Switch and PlayStation?

By Todd BlackMarch 17, 2024
Palworld Pocketpair Summer Game Fest, The Pokemon Company

Whether you loved it or thought it was a ripoff that somehow isn’t getting sued, Palworld is easily one of the biggest hits of 2024 and is possibly the biggest, depending on the numbers you believe. The indie title, which got popularity/infamy for being “Pokemon with guns,” has been a huge hit on Xbox, Xbox Game Pass, and Steam. Many were surprised by how quality it was, and how cheap it was at only $30. While the craze has died down a bit, there are still tons of people playing it.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Palworld’s creator, Takuro Mizobe, noted that his team at PocketPair was in talks to bring the game to other platforms. Given that it’s already on Xbox and PC, that would seem to narrow it down to PlayStation and Nintendo unless they wanted to try the mobile route, that is.

If it were to come to Nintendo, that would certainly be something given the “crossover” it would technically have with Pokemon. PlayStation will likely want it just to cash in on the craze. Only time will tell what happens.
