Splatoon 3 Details Next Season, and Reveals Deep Cut Amiibo and Splatfest!

By Todd BlackAugust 17, 2023
Splatoon 3

So yeah, there’s a lot going on in Splatoon 3 recently. We just came off a Splatfest (that we’re totally not going to rage about in the upcoming episode of the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast,) and now, Nintendo decided to drop a crap ton of news! First off, Nintendo revealed that the next “season” of the game will arrive on September 1st and will be known as “Drizzle Season.” As you likely expected, we’ll have new stages, weapons, challenges, clothes, cards, and more to enjoy once it comes around.

But that wasn’t the only thing they revealed. The next Splatfest has already been announced, and as our feature image showcases, it’s all about Deep Cut. You’ll have to pick between Shiver, Frye, and Big Man to see who would “be the best leader” of the group! It will be interesting to see how this plays out, as typically, these Splatfests are saved for the end of the game’s run so they can affect the next title. We haven’t even had the game for a year yet, so there must be another reason for this Splatfest to happen now.

Finally, and arguably most importantly, Splatoon 3 is getting more Amiibo…featuring Deep Cut! They won’t come out until November, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get excited for them now!

The three members of Deep Cut will make their #amiibo debut on November 17th! Scan them in-game to snap a photo with these #Splatoon3 stars, get exclusive gear, and more! pic.twitter.com/uc78efsDRj
