Wild Hearts Developer Addresses PC Performance Concerns, DLSS and FSR to be Added Later

Omega Force has announced it is working on the PC performance issues that is plaguing the PC version of Wild Hearts.

EA and Koei Tecmo’s Wild Hearts is an enjoyable hunting game that takes many influences from Monster Hunter. I’ve had a blast since The Outerhaven was able to participate in the early access review, and I haven’t been able to put the game down. However, I can’t say that it’s been a perfect experience, as the PC versions of the game have encountered a performance-related issue that causes a PC bottleneck problem.

This caused the PC version to stutter at various points, regardless of which resolution you play the game, or how powerful of a CPU you have. I’ve experienced this on a handful of beefy PCs myself.  Thankfully, Omega Force has announced it is addressing this in an upcoming patch that will be released next week. That said, Omega Force asks anyone experiencing issues with the PC version to submit their DXDIAG file.

In addition, the game doesn’t include either Nvidia’s DLSS or AMD’s FSR upscaling technology, which I kept asking about up until the release of the game. Omega Force has stated that both technologies will be added to Wild Hearts in an upcoming patch, just not the one that’s being released next week.

If you aren’t sure how to create the Dxdiag file, we got you covered.  All you have to do is open up a command prompt on your  Windows 8/10/11 machine and type “dxdiag.” You can also type this in the search bar located on your taskbar. This will open up the Microsoft DirectX Diagnostic Tool. This tool will show you the type of CPU, GPU, Motherboard, and various other bits of information about your PC. Locate the “Save All Information” tab, which will create a DxDiag text file, and save it wherever you specify. This doesn’t include any other information from your PC, so it is safe to submit. Then you can submit it to EA and Omega Force at the link we listed above.

To be honest, Wild Hearts has been a fun game outside of the bottleneck issue, and I’m looking forward to the PC issues being addressed. I would have liked if these performance issues didn’t exist in the first place, but at least the developer is addressing this sooner than later. Sadly, optimization concerns like this continue to be a major pain for PC gamers.

Be sure to check out The Outerhaven’s preview of Wild Hearts, and several of our early gameplay videos over at our YouTube channel.
