Fntastic’s The Day Before Official 10 Minutes Gameplay Trailer Finally Surfaces

After having a few technical difficulties, the trailer for Fntastic’s upcoming Survival MMO, The Day Before, which looks a bit too much like Ubisoft’s The Divison, has surfaced with 10 minutes of gameplay.

Interestingly enough, there’s no UI shown throughout this gameplay, which is a bit weird. However, we do get to see several firefights, exploration, and how the weapon upgrade system works. That said, there’s no way you can tell me that The Division was a massive influence on this game. Just how close the two games will be won’t be known until The Day Before is released.

The Day Before is set in a deadly post-pandemic America that’s been overrun by flesh-hungry infected, while survivors do their best to survive by killing each other for food, weapons, and cars. With no answers as to what happened, players will need to figure out what happened and do their best to stay alive.

While I said that the game looks similar to The Division, it feels like it is also taking bits from other games, including The Last of Us and Resident Evil. This isn’t necessarily bad, especially if Fntastic can pull it off. Those are several games I’d love to see tossed together, even if there is some overlap. However, seeing how the developer has had a string of empty promises in the past, among other things, we’ll have to wait to see how this all pans out.

Meanwhile, don’t bother clicking on the “Add to Wishlist” link, as the game’s page on Steam is still MIA.

Fntastic claims that The Day Before will be released in November 2023, so there’s still some time before the game drops.
