Octopath Traveler II Introduces The Thief and The Cleric

Octopath Traveler II Review

Octopath Traveler II is a highly-anticipated title from Square Enix. The original game was initially launched on Switch before heading to PC and the RPG did very well. The sequel will take what that game did and try to do more with eight new protagonists, stories, abilities, and more. We had a look at two of the characters in a previous video via the Scholar and the Merchant. But now, we have a look at Throné, the Thief, and Temenos, the Cleric.

Throné is a member of the Black Snakes Guild, a group that is raised “through pain” to be the best around. They do whatever their clients request, and they always listen to “Mother and Father,” the heads of the guild. But Throné realizes that the thing she wants more than anything in the world is freedom, and she seeks to get it.

Temenos is an inquisitor for the church. He performs his job with distinction and is dedicated to the church. Then, one day, an incident at the church sends him on a quest to learn the truth behind what happened. It’ll lead him on a dangerous quest that he must see through.

Alongside the character stories, we got confirmation that Secondary Jobs will be part of the game, and that means you can mix and match your characters’ classes to make them stronger or more suited to your battle style.

Octopath Traveler II will arrive on February 24th.
