Like A Dragon: Ishin! Shows of Its Combat Styles

By William "Shadowz" KokDecember 1, 2022

SEGA and RGG studios released a new trailer for Like A Dragon: Ishin! showing off the combat of the game, some story, and Sakamoto Ryoma.

In the trailer, we see the different combat styles players will use in the game when controlling Sakamoto. The base style of Swordsman or Samurai style, utilizing the base katana and quick cuts. The Gunman style, in which Sakamoto uses his pistol to fight at a distance. Perfect for crowd control. The Brawler style, which veterans will be familiar with if played the series. This is the traditional style for those who played Yakuza and loves the more hands-on approach. Course for sharp-eyed fans, you can do the Tiger Drop here as well. Finally, the Wild Dancer style. It combines both the Swordsman and Gunman style that shows off flair and creative heat moves to slay your enemies. So pick your style and become a legend.

SEGA also shared that for those who preorder the Digital Deluxe Edition and receive early access to the game on February 17, 2022 alongside receiving the following DLC items:

  •  Shinsengumi Captain’s Set
  •  Ryoma Growth Support Kit
  •  Sword Upgrade Materials Kit
  •  Gun Upgrade Materials Kit
  •  Third Division Armament Expansion Kit
  •  The Dragon of Dojima Skin

An additional three weapons to help you trailblaze the road to revolution:

  • Kijinmaru Kunishige, a dark sword with a white hilt
  • Bloody Sheen, a sword soaked in blood
  • Black Ship Cannon, a cannon taken from Western ships

Like A Dragon: Ishin!

Like a Dragon: Ishin! will launch on February 21, 2023, on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC (Steam, Windows)
