The PlayStation State of play that took play March 17th 2022 showed off a lot of information about Hogwarts Legacy.
I was a huge fan of the books as a kid. In 3rd 4th and 5th grade I used a lot of my free time to read and reread the first four books in the series, so very biased but this looks amazing! The developers said this was a game made by fans for fans. Being able to go to Hogwarts and go to the classes and learn the famous spells from the series feels like a dream come true! This truly feels like the game I wish I could have played as a kid. We still don’t have much information about if being in a different house changes scenarios or the actual story of the game. It also didn’t reveal if there was a morality system in place even though it did hint at being able to learn Avada Kedavra later down the line, which is a dark killing curse.
There are sections of the gameplay reveal that show off flying on animals, and broomsticks around the castle grounds. Avalanche Studios said they didn’t want to make it only inside the Hogwarts Castle Academy. You get to experience the outside world of Hogwarts and even look at areas the movies and books didn’t talk about.
Hogwarts Legacy will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Holiday 2022.
