Babylon’s Fall announcements

Babylon's Fall announcements

This morning many of us were awakened by some surprise announcements from Platinum Games, developers of Babylon’s Fall. They confirm that there will be battle passes. Just like many live service games there will be a free battle pass and a premium battle pass. Depending on how much you unlock in the premium battle pass will reduce the amount of Garaz it will cost to unlock the next premium battle pass. The big motivator to get Babylon’s Fall early is that the first premium battle pass will be absolutely free for all players who start in season 1.

For reference on how much it costs, 100 Garaz is equivalent to $1. Full priced, the premium battle pass costs $10 in order to purchase it. If you fully unlock the premium battle pass the previous season, the cost goes down to 500 Garaz or $5. They iterate that there will be no powerful equipment that can be bought for premium currency, that it will mainly be cosmetic items as to have no pay to win aspect in the game.

The best news however is that they have a timeline for when demos will be available. PlayStation will get a pre release demo February 25th 2022 on both PS4 and PS5. The steam demo comes out at the end of March.
