Rumor: Remnant: From the Ashes headed to Nintendo Switch

One of my favorite games is making the jump to the Switch. Recently, Remnant: From the Ashes has made an appearance on the ESRB website and rated for the Nintendo Switch. Given that this game is nearly two years old, I wasn’t even sure if this would make it to the Switch.

If this is to be taken seriously, then it’s a good chance we could see this being announced during the Nintendo Indie World showcase, on December 15, 2021, at 9AM PT / 12PM ET. Though, this game isn’t exactly an indie – guess we’ll find out, won’t we?

Developed by Gunfire Games, Remnant: From the Ashes is an action RPG/Souslike that was heavily influenced by games such as Dark Souls, which puts more of an emphasis on ranged combat. It received two DLC expansions; Swamps of Corsus and Subject 2923, with the latter being the last piece of content created for the game.

Remnant: From the Ashes - you better run

Remnant: From the Ashes is one of those games that didn’t get a lot of exposure, more of a sleeper hit. However, if you gave the game a chance, you’d soon see that it was one of the better games in the action RPG genre. Included is an enjoyable single-player campaign that could also be played with two other players. Even better, you could play the entire game co-op without worrying about them dropping off if they died or if you completed a level. With the added survival mode, the games’ longevity increased as it pitted you and two others against waves of enemies, allowing you to get stronger as the game progressed.

If Remnant: From the Ashes is indeed headed to the Nintendo Switch, it’s going to be a fine addition to its library.
