Crossed Hearts, an up-and-coming publisher of English localizations for manga, manhwa, manhua, and novels, will present its largest showcase to date at Anime NYC 2026, officially launching its new in-house imprint, Studio Hearts, and revealing a wave of new licenses in an exclusive live announcement.
Panel Details
- Title: Inside Crossed Hearts: From Story to Shelf
- Date & Time: Sunday, August 23, 2026 · 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
- Location: Room 1A12–14, Anime NYC 2026
If you’ve ever wanted to know what’s coming next before anyone else does, this is the panel. Crossed Hearts is pulling back the curtain on its next chapter, and this is where it all breaks first, live and in person, before a single word hits social media.
Here’s what’s waiting in the room:
- New titles, named live. Fresh licenses joining the core Crossed Hearts catalog, revealed for the very first time, hear them named before they’re posted anywhere online.
- Studio Hearts is officially here. Crossed Hearts is unveiling its newest imprint, an in-house creative studio built to develop original stories from the ground up. Attendees will be the first in the world to see what it’s building.
- The real production pipeline, laid bare. How Crossed Hearts finds and licenses stories from publishers worldwide, then takes them through translation, localization, editorial adaptation, lettering, SFX recreation, webtoon-to-print paneling, and production. This is the process readers never normally see.
- A first look at what’s ahead. The upcoming release roadmap, new genres the company is moving into, and the long-term direction of the catalog, straight from the source, months before it’s public.
- An exclusive Studio Hearts preview. Early looks at three original titles already in development, plus how creators can pitch their own stories to the studio.
- Direct access to the founder. The session concludes with an open Q&A featuring Niharika Puthamakula (Aurora Aurealis). With no topic off-limits, attendees gain a rare opportunity to ask the company’s founder anything and hear directly from the person steering Crossed Hearts into its next chapter.
New Crossed Hearts Licenses
Headlining the panel is a fresh wave of six new licenses across the core Crossed Hearts line, spanning manhwa romance and manga from COMISMA and Crossed Hearts’ Creator Original program. These titles round out the catalog’s range, from lighthearted romantic comedy to isekai adventure to quiet, character-driven drama, and mark some of the biggest additions to the lineup this year.
- Welcome to the Rose Manor (Manhwa)
- Flirting with the Villain’s Dad (Manhwa)
- The Two of Them Can’t Be Mobs (Manga, COMISMA)
- Love Beyond the Final Boss: The Hero’s Party’s Quest for Love (Manga, COMISMA)
- Emma and the Eyes that Bid Farewell (Manga, COMISMA)
- Where Sea Meets Shore (Manga, Creator Original)
Introducing Studio Hearts
The big reveal of the panel: Crossed Hearts is officially launching Studio Hearts, its new in-house imprint dedicated to original storytelling. Rather than acquiring finished work, Studio Hearts builds stories from the ground up, developing new characters, settings, and premises from their earliest stages all the way through to publication. With multiple projects already underway, the studio is ready to pull back the curtain and share character concepts, early art, and sneak peeks with fans well ahead of debut.
Studio Hearts’ first wave of original titles:
- Doomsday Requiem With You
- Chiaroscuro
- Soul Guiders
Every attendee leaves with a Crossed Hearts gift bag, including a poster, two series guides, five postcards, and a shikishi. The first 100 people through the door also receive a free tote bag as a bonus. Seats are limited and given out first-come, first-served, so arriving early means a better chance at a seat and the extra swag.
Two panels, plenty of reveals, and a whole lot to discover. Crossed Hearts can’t wait to see fans at Anime NYC 2026.
