Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc., together with Shueisha Inc. and Toei Animation Co., Ltd., hosted “ONE PIECE DAY’26,” the annual celebration of the global “ONE PIECE” franchise, at Makuhari Messe on August 22–23, 2026 (JST). The fifth edition of the event featured the highly anticipated results of the second global “ONE PIECE” character popularity poll, “WORLD TOP 100” (WT100), held to celebrate the manga’s cumulative worldwide circulation surpassing 600 million copies.
The event also featured special stages with an all-star lineup of voice actors and live musical performances. Fans watching the livestream around the world were also treated to major announcements, including new cast members for Season 3 of Netflix’s live-action series “ONE PIECE.”
WORLD TOP 100 Results
WT100 received a total of 13,086,239 points from fans around the world, with Monkey D. Luffy once again claiming the top spot among all 1,567 characters, following his victory in the first global character popularity poll. Roronoa Zoro ranked No. 2, followed by Sanji at No. 3, reaffirming the enduring popularity of the future Pirate King and his two wings.
At the launch of WT100, it was announced that Eiichiro Oda would create new “Special Outfit” illustrations for the Top 30 characters. In a surprise reveal during the event, a newly drawn illustration of Luffy was unveiled ahead of the full reveal. These “Special Outfit” illustrations will be featured in the
anime, ONE PIECE CARD GAME, and various ONE PIECE merchandise.

Anime ELBAPH Arc Special Voice Cast Panel
During the live voice-over performance, the cast brought to life scenes from the ELBAPH Arc that had already aired, along with a scene featuring Shanks and Saint Shamrock that has yet to appear in the anime. Shuichi Ikeda, the voice of Shanks, also made a surprise appearance, drawing enthusiastic reactions from both fans and his fellow cast members. Drawing on the theme of WT100, the program also explored the cast members’ “Another Voices,” highlighting other characters they have portrayed in the ONE PIECE anime. Each cast member reflected on characters they felt a special connection to and shared memories from their time in the role.

ONE PIECE DAY’26 Special Live Performance
Closing out ONE PIECE DAY’26 was a special live concert featuring Hiroshi Kitadani, Maki Otsuki, AiNA THE END, and 36km/h.
The performance kicked off with Kitadani’s energetic “UUUUUS!” followed by 36km/h performing “Future,” the ending theme for the ELBAPH Arc, and “Hello,” which was also featured as the special ending theme for the 2021 voice comic adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s early one-shot, “MONSTERS.” AiNA THE END, who performs the opening theme for the ELBAPH Arc, then took the stage with “Luminous,” as well as “Blue Shining Star,” the theme song for the TV anime “ONE PIECE HEROINES,” among other songs. Maki Otsuki then performed “Never Was Alone in This World,” the insert song accompanying the much-talked-about reunion between Nico Robin and Saul, along with the fan-favorite “memories.” Kitadani brought the energy back up with “Jungle P” before the finale, when the artists were joined on stage by the voice cast and costumed characters for a performance of the iconic “We Are!”
Netflix Series ONE PIECE: The Battle of Alabasta — Additional Cast Revealed
Four new cast members have been announced for recurring guest roles in Season 3 of Netflix’s
live-action series “ONE PIECE: The Battle of Alabasta,” set to premiere globally on Netflix in 2027.
Production on Season 3 has also wrapped in Cape Town, South Africa.
Emilio Sakraya (“Rheingold,” “Those About to Die,” “Fortitude”) joins the cast as Koza, while Omid Abtahi (“The Mandalorian,” “American Gods”) will portray Toto. Rounding out the newly announced cast are Jamie Ward (“The Gentlemen,” “His Dark Materials”) as Pell and Nabeel Khan (“Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom,” “Strike Back”) as Chaka. Additional cast will be announced at a later date.
