Monster Hunter Stories 2 Gets New Story Trailer, Shows Off “Wings Of Ruin”

By Todd BlackJune 10, 2021

At first, many were curious when the Monster Hunter franchise was said to be releasing two very different games this year on Nintendo Switch. But then, after the success of Monster Hunter Rise, it’s looking more like a brilliant move by Capcom than anything else. Rise has shipped out over 7 million units and got universal praise from critics and fans. And now Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings Of Ruin is looking to continue that this July.

The story features the Riders of the world trying to prevent the end of it with the rebirth of Razewing Ratha. Trapped in the midst of this is a young version of Rathalos and as the story trailer (one of many released recently) below shows…things aren’t going as well as could be hoped.

When Razewing Ratha is awakened, disaster will befall the land…

What new mysteries and threats lie ahead as a result of this cataclysmic event? #MHStories2 #SummerGameFest pic.twitter.com/oMN52UhECN

Also shown at the end of the trailer are some special pre-order outfits, a look at the Monster Hunter Stories 2 Amiibo that’ll give special armor to the characters you have, and more!

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruin arrives on Switch and also on PC, on July 9th.
