“Final” Pokemon Journeys Episodes Arrive March 5th!

By Todd BlackFebruary 5, 2021
Pokemon Journeys

Pokemon Journeys as a whole is something very new and interesting for the Pokemon community as a whole. As this isn’t a journey of Ash Ketchum going through one region to get gym badges and battle a league. Rather, it’s about him and his new friend Goh going around the entire Pokemon world and see all that it has to offer…and still battling and trying to catch them all.

So far, the series has released 36 episodes in the US via Netflix, and today, The Pokemon Company announced in a press release that the “final” 12 episodes of it are coming this March!

There are more regions to explore, Pokémon to catch, and battles to be won with Ash and Goh!

Now, the word “final” in the press release might throw some people off as we all know that the series is very much still going on in Japan. So what is the deal here? Simple, the US version of the show loves to rebrand after key moments in the series. Such as when Pokemon Sun & Moon became Ultra Legends. Or way back in the early days of Pokemon like the Hoenn region when they went from Pokemon Advanced, to Advanced Battle and Advanced Challenge.

So the series isn’t going away, it’ll just get a new name and theme song to ring in the newer episodes which will likely arrive in June. Certain changes to the Pokemon website seem to indicate it’ll be called Pokemon Legends. We’ll see!
