Hell Yes! ‘Lucifer’ Season 5 Gets Date Announcement

By Sara Roncero-MenendezJune 22, 2020

2020 has been Hell, so it’s almost no wonder that the next season of Lucifer is set to come out this year. And if true Lucifer style, Netflix has decided to make the official announcement with a compilation of the sexiest moments from the show – 66.6 seconds of it to be exact.

If you’ve never seen it, Lucifer follows the devil (yes, that one) as he owns a nightclub in LA. He ends up drawn to a homicide detective named Chloe Decker and ends up spending the show helping her solve murders. Of course, antic ensue, as well as a cast of angels and demons passing through. The show played for 3 seasons of FOX, after which it was canceled. Seeing an opportunity, Netflix swooped in and saved the show, and produced its fourth season.

The show’s star Tom Ellis has already signed up with Netflix for a sixth season, so we can be fairly sure this won’t be the end of this devilish tale. That doesn’t mean this season won’t be filled with intrigue and character death, but it won’t be the last time we see our favorite tempter. There’s no trailer out yet, but given that the new season is only two months away, we should be seeing one soon.

Lucifer Season 5 premieres on Netflix on August 21, 2020.

A reporter by trade, Sara is a lover of horror, sci-fi, and all things pop culture. From indies to classics to even the strangest schlock, all movies and TV shows are fair game. She believes Batman is the most fascinating superhero, and that Silent Hill is one of the best horror franchises ever made (as long as you don't count the movies). Fun Fact: The only movie Sara will not rewatch is The Room -- once was more than enough.
