Amazon Games MMO New World closed beta in July followed by an August release

One of Amazon Games’ more promising titles an upcoming MMO called ‘New World is slated for a closed beta in July 2020.

I had some hands-on with the game last year, however, things have changed since then. The entire game has been given an overhaul to the point where it’s a completely different game. I’ve seen it making some waves here and there since then, as Amazon Game’s try to drum up interest in the title. It also made an appearance during the PC Gaming Show that took place on June 13th, 2020, where a new trailer was shown.

In this trailer, we have a chance to see the revamped combat system and as I said before, this game has been through a lot of changes. None of this looks remotely like what I played before. Which is a good thing as the original game was quite boring and not very appealing.

As for the closed beta, it will take start on July 23, 2020, with no word on when it will end. If you want to partake in the closed beta, there are two ways; pre-order the game or sign-up over on the official website for the game. If you pre-order the game then you’re guaranteed a slot in the closed beta if you’re interested in getting some early hands-on.

As for New Worlds, there will be two versions of the game; the standard edition at $39.99 and the Deluxe Edition of $49.99. The deluxe version will also provide several in-game goodies, as an incentive that is.

Standard Edition:

  • Closed Beta access. Secure access to the Closed Beta on July 23, 2020.
  • Isabella’s amulet. Equip Isabella’s amulet to gain additional constitution to weather attacks and deal additional damage against certain types of supernatural enemies.
  • Unique title. Proudly display your “Expedition One” title as part of the initial wave of explorers to hit Aeternum’s shores.
  • Emote. Greet your fellow adventurers with the Fist Bump emote.
  • Guild crest set. Three unique guild crests featuring axes, muskets, and armor.

Deluxe Edition:

  • Woodsman armor skin. Stand out from the crowd or blend in with the forest with the Woodsman armor skin.
  • Woodsman hatchet skin. Complete the Woodsman look with this skin for the versatile hatchet.
  • Mastiff house pet. Make your house a home with the Mastiff house pet. Access to housing unlocks at level 20 in-game.
  • Rock/Paper/Scissors emote set. Rock, Paper, Scissors, a light-hearted game with friends or a tool for making difficult decisions.
  • New World digital art book. A collection of incredible concept art from the making of New World.
