While we knew the game was slated to be released on the PC this Spring, the devs have teased that the game is releasing “super duper soon”. There’s still no release date, but I imagine it’s coming soon.

Exit the Gungeon is hitting Steam super duper soon…

Original Story below

Earlier this month, Dodge Roll Games had announced that the sequel to Enter the Gungeon, Exit the Gungeon was headed to the PC and consoles. The only thing we didn’t know is when it would hit the PC. Now we do, as the Steam store page went up today with a release window of Spring 2020.

Update: The game is now priced at $9.99.

Originally released for Apple Arcade, this follow-up is a direct sequel to the first game.

Exit the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon climber immediately following the adventures of the misfit ‘Gungeoneers’ and their journey for personal absolution in Enter the Gungeon.

The Gungeon has become a paradox and is collapsing! Armed with an ever-changing weapon, an insatiable need to loot, and the trusty dodge roll, each of our heroes must ascend and escape via their own unique route of increasingly perilous elevators. Battle against the last and most bitter of the Gundead at a frantic pace, slowing down just long enough to chat with some familiar faces… and a few new ones. Shifting rooms, enemies, bosses, bizarre weapons and items all combine to ensure that no two attempts to Exit the Gungeon are the same.

Also, you can wear hats. Everybody loves hats, and spin-offs, which this game is… of Enter the Gungeon.

While Enter the Gungeon was a top-down view game, Exit the Gungeon ditches that and uses a traditional 2D look. So it’s considered a bullet hell dungeon climber. I haven’t played the game to be able to tell you how that affects the game or if it retains the charm from the first game.

The game is also being released on the PS4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. Speaking of which, if you haven’t’ played the first game, you should give it a go. It’s currently available to be added to your wishlist.
