Limited Run Games planning to release a physical edition for Streets of Rage 4

Limited Run Games has announced that they’ll be doing a physical edition for Streets of Rage 4.

Just as the name of the company suggests, this will be a limited run, like the other titles that Limited Run Games gets their hands on. Streets of Rage 4 is one of the games I’m looking forward this year, I’m sure many of you already knew that. I grew up Sega’s brawling series and it was like crack. I just couldn’t stop playing it. Fast forward to the news of Streets of Rage 4 finally being developed, I think I drooled a little. The only disappointing thing is that the game would be a digital-only release.

With this latest news, now I have a chance to score a physical edition. While there aren’t details yet, the company has stated we’ll know more about their plans later. Possibly as soon as this weekend as they’ll be in attendance during PAX South 2020.

The gang’s all back in Streets of Rage 4; Axel, Blaze, and Adam reunite to take the fight to the streets. They won’t be alone either, as Adam’s music-loving daughter, Cherry, will be along for the ride. A new enemy has arisen and it’s up to these four to put it down and fast. But who is it? So far, we don’t know, as the developer of the game, Dotemu, is being quiet about that. Yuzo Koshiro is also back to score the soundtrack. I haven’t heard anything from the game yet, but I have faith in Koshiro and he hasn’t failed me yet.

Streets of Rage 4 is being released on the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC later this year. Now, about that release date.
