Awesome Games Done Quick Returns on January 5

By Josh PiedraJanuary 2, 2020

The time has come once again for the return of Awesome Games Done Quick… a charity event where your favorite speedrunners come together to complete games as fast as possible. This year’s event will be taking place starting January 5 at the DoubleTree Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando in Orlando, Florida. This event also marks the charity’s 10th anniversary!

All money raised from this event will be going to the Prevent Cancer Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and early detection of cancer.

Last year, 2,200 people attended AGDQ in person while the Twitch broadcast of the event pulled in 219,240 concurrent viewers. The event was able to raise $2.39 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation!

Awesome Games Done Quick is sponsored by PlayStation, Final Fantasy XIV Online, Yetee, Annapurna Interactive, Fangamer, Team Meat, NIS America, Tokyo Attack!, World 9 Gaming, MAGFest, and Red Bull

You can check out the event for yourself on their twitch channel here: https://www.twitch.tv/gamesdonequick.
