Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition and Devil May Cry Triple Pack headed to the Switch on February 20, 2020

By Keith MitchellNovember 25, 2019
Devil may cry 3 Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Who said Capcom wasn’t a fan of the Switch. Sure, they have been slow when it comes to porting their titles to the Switch, but when they release several flagship games then you know they’re fully on board. Case in point is the announcement that Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition is set to arrive on the Switch on February 20th, 2020.

Seen by many as the best game in the Devil May Cry series (yes, even better than 5), this completes the original trilogy of the games being available on the Switch. You’ll be able to pick up the game for $19.99 via digital download. Previously both Devil May Cry 1 /2 were released earlier this year.

Devil May Cry 3 preserves the fast-paced action that has made the series so popular. In addition to its strong roots, the game increases the intensity of gameplay with a new “style” system, which adds an additional level of depth. Depending on preference, choose between short-range, long-range, defensive or evasive play styles. Each system has its own range of gameplay features and players can choose to power up their favorite style for increased special attack abilities.

That’s not all, as Capcom has also announced a Devil May Cry Triple Pack for the Switch, which includes Devil May Cry 1 on a cart, with Devil May Cry 2/3 via digital download. Interestingly enough, this is only available for Japan and on the same day that DMC3 releases on the Switch.

This will be available for 4,990 yen plus tax if you’re interested. Which looks to be similar (or the very same) as the Devil May Cry HD Collection. It even has the same art, which is leaving me to believe that it is one and the same, which includes Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening (Special Edition).
