A few months back, the world got its first look at the CGI animated Lupin movie, Lupin III: The First. Now, we’re getting extended look thanks to a new trailer that was released today.
I can’t completely understand the Japanese language, but I’m getting better at it. However, this time we’re getting some plot and some witty banter between Lupin and his gang, as well as the new characters in this movie.

Lupin III: The First is directed and written by Takashi Yamazaki (Space Battleship Yamato, Stand by Me Doraemon) and is scheduled for a December 6th, 2019, release in Japan. So far there hasn’t been any information as to if or when this movie will arrive in the West. Given that Lupin is quite successful over here, I can only hope that we’ll eventually get it. Either in a subbed format or dubbed release later in 2020.
