New Nioh 2 information to be revealed during the Tokyo Game Show

By Keith MitchellSeptember 6, 2019

While Koei Tecmo was teasing some more reveal information on the upcoming hack and slash action RPG, Nioh 2 for August 29th, that never happened. I suppose they wanted to save all the tasty info for the 2019 Tokyo Game Show, which just happens to be next week. As such, Koei Tecmo has announced that they’ll be hosting multiple panels/stages (as well as other games) and will finally provide more details on the game.

Translation of the recent tweet translated by Google, so it’s not super reliable.

[“Nio 2” TGS Stage Information ①] “Nio 2” World Stage “will be held from 13:00 on September 12 (Thursday). Please note that this stage will be the world’s first to show you the details of new actions and youkai.

Thankfully, this panel will be streamed and be available to watch on YouTube on September 12th, 2019 @ 8:30 PM PT /11:30 PM ET. In addition to this, two other stages will provide more information and gameplay for Nioh 2. The second is held on 9/14 and is called “Nioh 2” Everlasting Stage and the other one, “Nioh 2” The Darkness Stage on 9/15.

Needless to say, I’m looking forward to all of these streams. Nioh was one of my favorite games in 2017 for the PS4 and PC, and as soon as Nioh 2 was announced. Well, I was excited, let’s just say that. Especially since Team Ninja has promised that everything that made the first game so good will be intact. As well as upgrades to the combat system, including the ability to transform into a Yokai and a character customization system. Yep, I’m looking forward Nioh 2 and can’t wait until it’s released.

For more information on these streams, check out the Toyko Game Show website.

The Tokyo Game Show 2019 will run from September 12 -15, 2019, and is held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Nioh 2, has only been announced for the PlayStation 4 at this time. Though, I’m hopefully that it will also debut on the PC just as the original game did.
