Batwoman Series Officially Picked Up, Teaser Released

By Todd BlackMay 7, 2019
Batwoman Elseworlds

The Arrowverse as it’s called is going to be going through some major changes next year. The biggest of which is the ending of the long-running Arrow series with Season 8 (which will only be 10 episodes). But, the future is not grim for the universe, it’s just expanding in new ways. The first way was via arrival of Batwoman in the previous crossover event Elseworlds. And now, her own original series has gotten a series pickup on the CW.

This version of Batwoman embraces the recent comics take on the character, with her being Kate Kane, cousin to Bruce Wayne, who is Batman in the Arrowverse, but has gone missing. Now, she protects Gotham, even if she doesn’t exactly want the responsibility. The first teaser for the show, and its logo, was dropped on the brand new Batwoman Twitter Page, and it shows not only Ruby Rose in her outfit, but also the logo for the series.

The series is expected to come out this fall, more than likely after the crossover event “Crisis On Infinite Earths”, which will be the final crossover for the Arrow team, and possibly the beginning of many new things.
