Many times a year the conversation around who is the best fighting game player of the season/all time is. The air is filled with names like Daigo Umehara, Tokido, Infiltration, and Sonicfox but one name seems to slip the tongue of many. That name is Ryota Inoue, better known as Kazunoko.

Kazunoko SCR Guilty Gear

This weekend Kazunoko entered 4 separate main roster lineup fighting games and placed very well in each in the very stacked and challenging tournament Socal Regionals. That’s a huge testament to his skill. As expected through a tournament like this he took out plenty big names along the way.

Kazunoko finished up at SCR:

1st in DBFZ
1st in GGXrd
2nd in BBTag
And only 33rd in SFV

He’s the best FIGHTING GAME player in the world right now.
