Killua Zoldyck, Kurapika, Yusuke Urameshi, and Toguro Join Jump Force

By Zachery PaikaiSeptember 20, 2018
Jump Force.

Jump Force’s roster is looking strong right now and will probably only get better as more character reveals drop as we slowly inch closer to the game’s release in 2019. Just these past two days we’ve received four new character announcements; both Hunter x Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho representatives have jumped into the fray.

With the inclusion of Zoldyck assassin, Killua, and the scarlet-eyed Kurta, Kurapika, Hunter x Hunter now has four representatives. These two’s friend and companion, Gon, has already been announced as well as the antagonistic fiend of a man, Hisoka.

Over on the Yu Yu Hakusho side of things, Yusuke Urameshi is rockin’ that Spirit Gun and the muscular powerhouse pumped full of demonic energy, Toguro will be the anime/manga series first representatives. What’s fitting is that both Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter share the same creator, Yoshihiro Togashi. And all of his wonderful characters were announced back to back.

There’s also another character trailer that dropped today, but this one showcases NPC’s that’ll appear within the game’s Story mode. And these character creations were specifically designed by Akira Toriyama himself, the creator of the Dragon Ball series that we all know and love.

Jump Force releases February 19th, 2019, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

*Update*

Closed beta testing for Jump Force will be underway Oct. 12th- 14th for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.  Registration for the beta has already begun for U.S. regions; further information regarding the closed beta as well as sign-ups can be on Bandai Namco’s official website.

From the Hawaiian islands, Nanaue, the Prince of Sharks first appeared. This shark man was uncontested in terms of video game prowess. His notoriety of being a top-tier game wiz angered the envious locals and eventually forced Nanaue into exile. His hunger for competition and game knowledge grew as time past. This in tow, leads him to delve into the sea of writing and gaming culture.
