Play Fortnite right now on select Samsung Android devices

During the reveal of Samsung’s Note 9 phablet, Epic Games Tim Sweeny took to the stage. He announced that was rumored for some time, that Fortnite is getting timed exclusive for Samsung mobile devices. However, thankfully this isn’t contained to just the Note 9. In fact, if you already own any of the following Samsung mobile devices, you can play Fortnite on them, today.

  • Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge
  • S8 / S8+
  • S9 / S9+
  • Note 8 / Note 9
  • Tab S3  /
  • Tab S4

If you own any of these devices, then all you have to do is head to http://fortnite.com/Android. You’ll be asked to select your Android device and an email will be sent to you for further info. If you already play Fortnite, then you’ll be able to log in as well. Once you’ve done this, you’ll be sent an email with a link to a QR code. It’s here that you’ll be able to download Fortnite.

So this also answers the question as to how Android users would download the game. There’s already a nice download page setup and it will install the game for you. I haven’t encountered any request to enable the “Unknown sources” either.

Once it completes, I”ll let you know how the game plays on both the S3 Tab and the Samsung S8+.
