A sequel to Ghost Town Games’ incredibly fun couch co-op cooking game Overcooked was announced earlier this summer at E3. The game has players working together in different kitchen stages, fulfilling orders, and completing increasingly challenging timed levels. Players can expect many more ridiculous cooking levels this time around, including a hot air balloon and a wizard’s castle.
Overcooked 2 certainly adds plenty in the way of new recipes and levels, as well as more playable characters. As a fun pre-order bonus, fans will get five additional chefs in the “Too Many Cooks” pack. This includes a unicorn, walrus, monkey, calico cat, and alien if you pre-order.

Overcooked 2, much like the first game, features competitive and cooperative game modes that allow up to four players locally. The sequel adds an online multiplayer mode that the original lacked, however Overcooked is perhaps its best when played with friends in the same room.
The game releases August 7th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
