Mighty Gunvolt Burst Now Available on Playstation 4

By Josh PiedraMarch 15, 2018

Inti Creates surprised fans by announcing that they have released Mighty Gunvolt Burst on Playstation 4 today as a digital download. The game has been rebranded as Gal*Gunvolt Burst, but it remains the same game as its Nintendo Switch counterpart. The game costs $9.99 with a brand new $4.99 DLC pack which will grant you access to the three new Rival Characters.

The Rival Characters include Ray from Mighty No. 9, Copen from Azure Striker Gunvolt, and Kurona from Gal Gun. They join Beck from Mighty No. 9, Ekoro from Gal Gun and Gunvolt from Azure Striker Gunvolt, bringing the total amount of playable characters up to six.

The gameplay is very similar to a classic Mega Man game with the difference being that you can score Burst points by destroying enemies while standing right next to them, allowing you to build up devastating attacks. You take the character of your choice through the game and battle the bosses from the Mighty No. 9 series.

Mighty Gunvolt Burst was originally released on the Nintendo Switch back on June 15, 2017. The parent game, Mighty Gunvolt was released on the Nintendo 3DS back on August 20, 2014. Having played the game on Nintendo Switch, I can give my full recommendation to pick this title up. It’s what Mighty No. 9 should have been all along!
