A Splatoon 2 Starter Edition Is Heading To The Switch

By Keith MitchellFebruary 12, 2018
Nintendo Switch launch Splatoon 2
Splatoon 2 in the summer adds a heavy hitter to the lineup.

Everyone likes stickers, right?

Haven’t picked up Nintendo’s award-winning Splatoon 2 for the Switch just yet? How about if the game came with a 100-page strategy guide and some stickers? Sounds good, right? Then the upcoming Splatoon 2 Starter Edition is going to be right up your alley.

Slated to be released on March 16, 2018, the Splatoon 2 Starter Edition will be priced at $59.99. It will include a copy of the game, 100-page guide, two sheets and two sheets of stickers. Perfect for anyone who hasn’t picked up the game for the Nintendo Switch as of yet.

In addition to the starter edition, Nintendo is also releasing two new amiibos for the game. Popular characters Pearl and Marina, are getting their own amiibo figures. These will be the latest amiibo Splatoon amiibos since the release of Callie and Marie for the original Splatoon title. They’ll be available via a 2-pack, priced at $24.99. No word on when they’ll be available.

There’s also a new stage making its way to the game as well. Goby Arena, which looks like a basketball court that was converted into the latest Splatoon 2 stage. More information on the stage and when it will enter the rotation to follow.
