New Trailer for Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero’s ‘Best F(r)iends’

By VeronicaFebruary 23, 2018

It’s been 15 years since Greg Sestero and Tommy Wiseau last worked together on the infamous, so-bad-it’s-good movie The Room. Of course, the duo has gotten a lot of press recently for the film adaptation of Sestero’s book The Disaster Artist, where James Franco plays Wiseau and Dave Franco plays Sestero for the story of the making of The Room. Recently, Sestero was inspired to write his own movie starring himself and Wiseau called Best F(r)iends. It’s odd, to say the least.

Here’s the official trailer:

The trailer makes it clear that Best F(r)iends will be a far cry from The Room 2. Sestero has set out to make something bizarre, violent, and potentially humorous. Nonetheless, it is exciting to see the two working together again on something new, and with a plot and characters so weird they might actually cater to Tommy’s strange acting style.

From the official site:

When a drifter (Sestero) is taken in by a peculiar mortician (Wiseau), the two hatch an underground enterprise off the back of the mortician’s old habits. But greed, hatred, and jealousy soon come in turn, and their efforts unravel, causing the drifter to run off with the spoils and leaving the mortician adrift.

And if that’s not weird enough, the film is so long that it will be released in two volumes, Kill Bill style. The first volume of Best F(r)iends will play in select theaters on March 30th and April 2nd; the second volume on June 1st and 4th.
