The Evil Within 2 Now Has A First-Person Mode

The Evil Within 2 -01

Ever wanted to play The Evil Within 2 in a first-person mode? Well, you’re in luck as Bethesda has officially announced that the mode is coming to the game. I say officially as it was previously accessible on the PC if you launched the game with a certain parameter.

Now that it’s an official release, this means players on the PS4 and Xbox One, will also be able to play in the first-person mode.

Apparently the decision to release the first-person mode, stemmed from the request of the fans. Many of them asking to see how the game would be, if they were actually in a first person view, instead of the over the shoulder, 3rd person perspective.

“A lot of players like playing horror games in first-person, so for those who want to see some of the game’s situations through Sebastian’s eyes, it’s a really neat experience,” “I think exploring Union in first-person makes the scale feel even bigger than it does when you’re in third-person. Also, being able to see our environments and enemies up close allows players to get an even better look at how much effort went into their designs. — Tango Gameworks producer Shinsaku Ohara”

The Evil Within 2’s free trial will also be updated to include the new first-person mode. If you haven’t checked out the game or are still on the fence, it’s working giving the free trial a spin.

Looks like I know what i’ll be doing either later on today (If I can get away from the wife) or later this week.
