Yu-Gi-Oh! News Round-Up – September 22, 2017

By Clinton Bowman-ChristieSeptember 22, 2017

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links Receives New Update, Steam PC Release Window:

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links has been rocking for about a year now, and Konami plans to keep the train going with a new update to the game on September 28th. This new update adds the popular Yu-Gi-Oh! GX series to the game, adding new playable locations and missions, as well as the different archetypes that came out of the GX series, such as Elemental and Destiny HEROs, Cyber Dragon and more. Players will also be reintroduced to Judai Yuki (Jaden Yuki), “Manjome Thunder” Jun Manjome (Chazz Princeton,) Asuka Tenjoin (Alexis Rhodes) and the rest of the GX-era characters. Personally, I wonder if we’ll get introduced to the Japanese 4th season characters as well.

In addition, Konami announced that Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links will be receiving a Steam PC release in December. It has been confirmed that mobile players will be able to retain their collections on the Steam version of the title, and the title will offer cross-play between iOS/Android and Steam PCs.

Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Extreme Force Coming this February:

The first 100 card booster set of 2018 is set for release, named Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Extreme Force. The set releases on Friday, February 2nd, and will add new supports to add to any deck, as well as new strats and individual cards to bolster old archetypes, such as the Noble Knights. The set contains 48 Common Cards, 20 Rare Cards, 14 Super Rare Cards, 10 Ultra Rares and 8 Secret Rares. The Extreme Force set also introduces the Deck of Extradimensional Terrors, featured in Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, as well as more Cyberse cards to pair with the Cyberse Link Structure Deck, Altergeist and Rokket monsters to complement the strategies introduced in Circuit Break.
