After last week’s Nintendo Direct didn’t reveal any new core entry into the Pokemon franchise, many fans wrote off the possibility that a new Pokemon game would be revealed at E3. While no gameplay was shown, Tsunekazu Ishihara of The Pokemon Company confirmed that a core Pokemon entry will indeed be headed to Switch in 2018 or 2019.
The announcement was one of many bombshells dropped by Nintendo. A new Yoshi Switch game, Kirby Switch, and Metroid Prime 4 all were revealed during today’s event. Rocket League will also be making its way to Switch.
