Maverick Games, the independent studio founded by former Forza Horizon creative director Mike Brown, is set to host a gameplay deepdive livestream for its upcoming open-world action-driving game, Clutch, later this week. If you’ve been waiting to see more of the game in action, this should be the one to watch.
The livestream will give racing fans their first look at live gameplay from Clutch, with Brown and art director/studio co-founder Ben Penrose walking viewers through what Maverick Games has been working on. That includes a look at the game’s cinematic narrative, its star-studded cast, the speed of the R1K pro circuit, the underground street racing style of the Midnight Collective, and the high-speed race-and-chase chaos of heists.
The Clutch Gameplay Deepdive Livestream will take place on Thursday, June 25, at 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM BST, and can be watched on YouTube. You can also check out the livestream below.
While I attended Summer Game Fest 2026, I was able to get a very intimate presentation of Maverick Games’ upcoming racing title, Clutch. I’m sure some of you have already seen the game or heard me talking about it, and the best way I can describe it is that it feels like Forza Horizon mixed with the storytelling of the earlier Need for Speed games, with a bit of GRID and Driver tossed in.
Even though I only got a small intro to the game, what I saw, and what I played, was amazing. It was one of my favorite games at the event, and now everyone else will get a chance to see what Maverick Games is cooking up when the gameplay deepdive goes live on June 25.
So, if this all sounds interesting, be sure to give the livestream a watch. I know I will be, even if it ends up being what I saw before, because I am completely invested in this game, and the more I see of it, the more I want to play it.
Clutch is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game is currently scheduled to be released in Spring 2027.
