Super Bomberman R Runs At 30 FPS, Will Feature Online Lobbies For Battle Mode

Super Bomberman R

One of the Nintendo Switch’s launch titles this Friday is Super Bomberman R from Konami. The game will feature classic Bomberman gameplay, but with some modern twists, and focus on multiplayer via the Switch’s system features.

Just Pause has gotten some more details on it, including noting that the game would run at 30FPS, unlike the 60 the game was originally rumored to have. However, the game will be able to run at the Nintendo Switch’s full resolution in both TV and handheld mode.

As for online play, they found out that only Battle Mode will have online functionality. The Cooperative Story Mode will use the Switch’s local multiplayer to work. Given the portability of the Switch, it’s easy to see why they did that.

Super Bomberman R releases alongside the Nintendo Switch on March 3rd.
