Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue received a new trailer revealing a release window.
Square Enix announced on Twitter yesterday that a new trailer would arrive today, and it came touting loads of new footage. Besides showing some cinematics from Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, the trailer shows the first gameplay footage of Aqua in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A fragmentary passage –, which is meant to be a demonstration of how Kingdom Hearts 3 will play. In addition, the trailer has a sizable amount of footage for Kingdom Hearts χ [chi] Back Cover, a cinematic telling of the mobile game of similar name.
The trailer ends by revealing a worldwide release of the game in December 2016 and that new information for Kingdom Hearts 3 will arrive this winter. I guess this means it won’t be at E3 2016, but we’ll see soon enough. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8, at the very least, will be.
