Hyper Light Drifter, a title I’ve been looking forward to ever since I had a hands on with it during PAX East 2014 is finally getting a release date. Releasing on March 31, 2016, Hyper Lift Drifter will finally make its debut on Steam. Fashioned as a 2D action RPG, Hyper Light Drifter takes many of its cues from games of past, such as The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past and combines that with a pixelated art style. While many would say that this style is overused, from what I experienced even back during PAX East 2014, it worked well for the title.
Originally a Kickstarter campaign, Hyper Light Drifter has been in development for a number of years and it’s nice to see that the title is almost ready to be finalized. Sadly the title is only available for PC and Mac when it releases on March 31, the console versions will launch sometime later in 2016.
