Xbox One Elite Controller dated for October 27 release

By Keith MitchellSeptember 18, 2015

Microsoft’s Xbox One Elite controller, you know, the one that’s priced at $149.99, now has a release date. Previously set with a December 2015, which was a place holder date, Microsoft has updated it’s website with the release date of October 27, 2015.  Which just also happens to be the same day that Halo 5 releases, how did that manage that?

But what would you pick up this controller? For starters this beaut will provide increased thumbstick sensitivity, hairlock triggers, swappable paddles, analog sticks and d-pads, as well as the ability to remap buttons via software.  Let’s also not forget that thanks to Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox One wireless dongle for the PC, you’ll be able to use it on your Windows 10 enabled PC’s as well.

Is all that worth the steep price tag of $149.99? Especially with Valve releasing their Steam Controller earlier October (for those who pre-ordered) and November for everyone else.
