By now, you’ve probably already seen the last post covering the announcement for Star-Lord, Rocket, and Groot’s voice actors on the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy animated series. The final two members of the team, Gamora and Drax will be voiced by Vanessa Marshall and David Sobolov, respectively.

Vanessa Marshall has voice acted on many projects. She played the part of Dinah Lance, better known as Black Canary in Young Justice and Irwin in the beloved Cartoon Network series the Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy. She’s also done work for Marvel in the past as Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow in The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. She has also voiced Gamora in her most recent appearance on Ultimate Spider-Man.

David Sobolov has done voices for iconic characters like the Decepticon, Shockwave (Transformers Prime) and Lobo, (Injustice: Gods among Us). Like the majority of his cast mates, Sobolov has voiced his Guardians character on previous appearances for other Marvel shows airing on Disney XD. Sobolov lent his voice on Drax’s appearances on all 3 of the existing Marvel cartoons: Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.

With that, the cast for the Guardians of the Galaxy is…

Will Friedle– Peter Quill aka Star-Lord
Trevor Devall– Rocket
Kevin Michael Richardson– Groot
Vanessa Marshall– Gamora
David Sobolov– Drax

Walter is a California native. He is currently in his last year of college pursuing a B.A. in English, but is often mistaken for a freshman...or a middle school tourist on occassion. His earliest gaming experience was Pokemon Red version on the Gameboy color, which he played actively. He would dabble with the Nintendo 64 and Playstation 2 for a bit before transitioning to many years of F2P MMOs. He then moved on to League of Legends, with whom he as an on and off again relationship. He currently spends most of his game time on his Playstation 4. He's also a bit of a Marvel nut.
