Weekly Audio Spotlight: NES Edition

By Keith MitchellMay 5, 2012

Video game music sure has evolved, hasn’t it? From the beeps from the yesteryears to now where we even have a full orchestral arrangement for either a single track or an entire album. But sometimes I find myself humming music from years long ago, from days when I was a little runt that would always go sit on my Father’s knee and get him to help me play a game (R.I.P Dad). Well I figured that I’d share some of those tracks and get them out of my mind and into the mind of everyone else, how thoughtful am I?

For everyone else who grew up on the Atari’s and the NES’s and beyond that this is simply a NES special, I’ll think about doing the other systems some other time and I didn’t include all the NES games either… we’d be here for a very long time. So sit back and relax!

No remixes, no arranges, just old school classic NES tunes…. go go midi!
