How To Defeat Lydusa Final Boss in Remnant II

By Keith MitchellApril 24, 2024

If you’ve reached the end of the Remnant II: The Forgotten Kingdom DLC and found yourself against the wall, trying to take down the final boss, Lydusa, don’t worry. We have a helpful guide that will help you through the end of it and take Lydusa down.

The fight with Lydusa will begin with her getting very upset with you and shouting words about not being whole and betrayal. At this point, she is completely unstable and can’t be reasoned with, and she will kick off a four-phase boss battle.

During the first phase, she rapidly hovers in the air, which makes the fight somewhat painful. During this, she has several attacks. Tossing sand bolts onto the ground will form sand traps to slow you down. Two fast and damaging bolts will be locked at your location. They are staggered attacks and will make a chiming sound before she unleashes them at you.  She also has a homing attack with five glowing lights. Four of those lights will be blue/green, with the fifth one glowing. If you target the glowing one, you can force the attack to shoot at your current location instead of following you. She will continue to do this until phase two.

Phase two will begin when Lydusa is at 3/4 of her health. At this point, she will enter two forms: Form 1, turn into a ball, and attempt to drop on you. She’ll do this three times repeatedly, and even if she doesn’t hit you, splash damage will hurt you if you aren’t far enough away or don’t do it in time. After this, she will swap the ball out for a sawblade and rapidly charge at you, dropping sand onto the ground. Stay out of the sand and dodge her attempts to cut you.

Remnant II - The Forgotten Kingdom Lydusa Boss Fight phase 2Once you get her down to 2/4 health, she will revert to the same attacks in phase one. There is nothing new here.

When Lydusa drops to 1/4 of her health, Lydusa’s final phase will begin, where she will pin you down in a corridor and restrict your movement. It’s sort of like a bowling alley. Here, she will start to attack you with various rock slabs being sent in your direction that you must either dodge or shoot her face that randomly appears on the slabs to damage her. This phase may not seem easier, but these slabs will come at you pretty fast, and if you need to reload, you can get caught by surprise and overwhelmed.

Once Lydusa has lost nearly all of her health, she will stop attacking you and fly off into the distance, but the corridor will begin to close in on you. This then becomes a DPS race, where you’ll have to take her down, or she will ultimately crush you.
