Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door Reveals Remade Intro Cutscene

By Todd BlackMarch 26, 2024
Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door Review

If you’re like me, and I know many of you are on this topic, you have been wanting a true sequel to Thousand-Year Door for a LONG time. The original Gamecube classic is easily one of the best RPGs ever made, and Nintendo decided to not try and top it…but go in a completely different direction…which ended up killing not one but TWO franchises! Thankfully, Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door is getting a remaster/remake for the Nintendo Switch, and if it does well, maybe Nintendo will take the hint.

Today, Nintendo dropped the remade intro sequence for the title. It reveals the origins of Rogueport, the “cataclysm” that brought the original kingdom it was built on down, and the legend of the Thousand-Year Door that allegedly holds a great treasure. It’s this legend that will get Princess Peach, Mario, and many more wrapped up in a grand adventure, and I can’t wait to play it once again!

Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door arrives on Nintendo Switch on May 23rd.
